Apple Turkey Whole30 Breakfast Sausage is another staple recipe in my house. With only 5 ingredients, minimal calories, lots of protein and no added sweetener, these little patties get made A LOT.
5-Ingredient Sausage
All you have to do for prep here is peel and grate a Braeburn or Honeycrisp apple. Those are simply my favorites, as they are sweeter apples without being tart like a granny smith. Feel free to use what's already in your crisper or the sweetest apple on sale at the grocery store.
Mix all 5 ingredients in one bowl and form 12 equal patties, about 4 inches big.
Quick and Easy Stovetop Cooking
Just sauté these guys in a little cooking fat 3 minutes per side and serve them while they're hot! I love these in a delicious breakfast bowl each morning.
Make Ahead
These are great for my son's breakfasts to have on hand in the fridge. I make a big batch and store them in fridge for up to 5 days.
I also highly encourage you to double or triple this recipe and freeze them for weeks to come. They'll last in the freezer for up to 4 months. I like to place them in individual snack bags and then put those in a dated freezer container.
